Armor Concrete Wax - Gloss

The Armor Concrete Wax-Gloss is a water-based acrylic floor wax designed to enhance and seal interior concrete floors. It can be applied to unsealed smooth concrete surfaces, and over acrylic, epoxy, and urethane coatings. It is a fantastic easy-to-apply sacrificial coating that offers superior protection against surface abrasion and scuffing. Prior to application, ensure the Armor Concrete Wax is uniformly blended. This can easily be done by slow drill mixing (do not high speed mix). The Armor Concrete Wax can be applied with a microfiber mop. For a consistent finish, apply two coats spaced 1-3 hours apart.

Surface Preparation

The Armor Concrete Wax should be applied to a completely clean and dry surface. If the surface was wet during the cleaning process, allow 24 hours to dry. While the Armor Concrete Wax can be applied to unsealed concrete, and over most coatings, a test area is always suggested to verify compatibility and bonding.

If applying over a newly sealed surface, allow at least 7-10 days for the newly sealed surface to fully cure before applying wax. Applying wax to a newly sealed surface too soon could result in blushing or failure of the wax.

Application

Using a  microfiber mop, apply at a rate of roughly 800-1000 square feet per gallon. The Armor Concrete Wax is designed to be applied in thin coats, it is not a high build coating. Apply wax in one direction to ensure a uniform finish. Do not puddle.

Allow 1-3 hours to dry and repeat with a second coat. Additional coats may be applied 1-3 hours apart until desired finish has been achieved.

Spray Buffing

If spray buffing, dilute the wax 1:2 with water. Using a hand trig mist sprayer, apply wax to concrete working in small areas at a time. Buff the area with a 500 RPM buffer in a side to side motion until the liquid has disappeared and the wax has turned into a gloss finish. This should only be done if you have experience with buffing floors.

Burnishing

If burnishing, allow the Armor Concrete Wax to dry completely. Using a 1,000-3,000 RPM burnishing machine with a natural hair or synthetic material burnishing pad. For best results, make linear runs (front to back line). This should only be done if you have experience with burnishing floors.

Coverage will vary depending on porosity, surface condition, application method, and the amount of material applied by the applicator. The above coverage rates are estimates and will vary. Two coats are suggested for even coverage and appearance.
